Full motor overhaul, precision rewinding, bearing replacement, and insulation testing for AC and DC motors of all frame sizes. Workshop-based repairs returned with a written test report.
What We Do
Our motor workshop handles everything from routine bearing changes on small fractional kW motors to full precision rewinding of large MV industrial motors.
Full stator and rotor rewinding to original specifications or with insulation class upgrades (Class F or H). All windings vacuum impregnated with varnish for moisture and chemical resistance.
Strip-down, cleaning, inspection, bearing replacement, shaft seal replacement, and reassembly. Every overhauled motor is test-run on our test rig before despatch.
Supply and fit of OEM-equivalent bearings — SKF, FAG, NSK. Correct bearing selection, fit, and lubrication is critical to motor life and is done to manufacturer specifications.
Insulation resistance testing, polarisation index measurement, winding resistance balance, high-potential testing, and no-load running current check. Full test report provided.
For large or difficult-to-remove motors, we can mobilise to site for in-situ testing — insulation resistance, vibration analysis, and thermal imaging to assess motor condition.
When a critical motor fails, downtime costs mount fast. Contact us for priority workshop turnaround on critical process motors — we understand the urgency of getting your plant back online.
Workshop Process
Every motor that comes through our workshop follows the same structured process — no shortcuts.
Motor received and logged. Initial visual inspection, nameplate data recorded, and customer's fault description noted. Pre-repair insulation resistance and winding resistance measurements taken.
Full disassembly, cleaning, and detailed inspection. Bearing condition, shaft condition, winding condition, core condition. Written diagnosis report with repair recommendation and quote.
Approved repairs carried out — rewinding, bearing replacement, shaft repair, or overhaul as required. Rewinds are vacuum pressure impregnated (VPI) for superior insulation quality.
Reassembly to manufacturer tolerances. Post-repair insulation resistance, polarisation index, winding resistance balance, hi-pot test, and no-load running test on test rig.
Full written test report with all pre- and post-repair measurements. Motor returned with report, warranty documentation, and any replaced parts (bearings, seals) shown on invoice.
Why DAS Energy
We know that a motor waiting in a workshop is a production line standing still. Our team works to give you an honest assessment, a fair quote, and the fastest quality turnaround we can deliver.
